Clean & Green 2022
On May 20, 2022 (date was postponed due to rain on Earth Day), the Island community came together for a collaborative clean and green event. Residents joined together with the Island Civic Association, G.R. Clark Elementary, Convoy of Hope, and Streets & Sanitation for cleaning and greening around the neighborhood. New flowers were planted in the garden beds outside the Pre-K and Kindergarten entrances. This Earth Day effort made the neighborhood look beautiful and showed the potential of what we can accomplish together. Here are some photos from the day:
