The Island Civic Association is partnering with With Neighbors to give residents of The Island funds to host simple, low-lift gatherings that bring neighbors together with food. You could host coffee & donuts on the street corner, a pizza party on your porch, or cook a favorite meal to share dinner with others.
There are amazing people living on your block. This is your excuse to meet them or get to know them better! Building community doesn’t have to be complicated, and we are all better off when we are connected.

Fill out the application form
The application will remain open as long as funds are still available. Make your plans and apply ASAP!
All gatherings must be held by the end of October, 2026
If your application is approved, you will receive $100 directly through Venmo or Paypal (you will indicate your preference on your application)
Food, drinks, and items directly related to eating together (ice, plates, etc.)
3 or more people (not including yourself).
We have a short post-event survey you’ll complete afterwards. We’d love to see a picture or two (optional), and hear how your gathering went.
