Earth Day 2023
On April 21, 2023, The Island community came together for a collaborative clean and green event. Residents joined together with the Island Civic Association, G.R. Clark Elementary, Alderman Chris Taliaferro, and Streets & Sanitation for cleaning and greening around the neighborhood. New CLARK lettering signs were installed on the playlot fence, and a family of bunnies found by students pulling weeds brought enormous joy 🙂 This Earth Day effort made the neighborhood look beautiful and showed the potential of what we can accomplish together.
