Earth Day 2021
On April 22, 2021, The Island community came together for a collaborative clean and green event. Residents joined together with the Island Civic Association, G.R. Clark Elementary, Rework Furniture, La Shawn Ford, and Streets & Sanitation for two cleanup sessions, an Early Bird cleanup from 6-8am on Railroad Ave along the highway, and an Earth Day Rally followed by cleaning down the residential streets from 10am-Noon. This Earth Day effort made the neighborhood look beautiful and showed the potential of what we can accomplish together. Here are some photos from the day:
